Adults should have an eye examination every 2 years, but if you use a computer as an integral part of your work we would recommend an annual check. Diabetics and people with risk factors for Glaucoma might also need to be seen annually. All children under 16 should be seen annually or every 6 months in some cases.
Additionally, if you have an elderly relative that may have fallen or tripped, this could be linked to them having poor vision. One in three people aged over 65 experience a fall each year, which can have a huge impact on their health and wellbeing. We would advise that they visit the practice as soon as possible for an eye examination so we can deal with any immediate issues.
