OCT Scan

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is the latest in technology when it comes to looking at the health of the retina.

Our state-of-the-art OCT machine will allow your Optometrists to more accurately assess the retina as it uses light, similar to an ultrasound, to image the deeper retinal layers.

An OCT scan is becoming an essential part of the eye examination in order to check the health of the retina inside the eye.

OCT can assess for signs of Macular Degeneration and Glaucoma as well as many other eye conditions. It is also very useful as a baseline measure of healthy eyes, enabling your optometrist to detect any potential future changes earlier.

An OCT scan is quick and simple. It involves sitting in front of the instrument and looking at a light. The scan takes 3 seconds. The instrument then provides reports which your Optometrist can interpret to determine the health of the retina.
